Strangely Familiar

Welcome to the Strangely Familiar universe of artist and illustrator Elise Hurst. Set in the sumptuous period of the 1920s - 1950s, the world is peopled by animals. New narratives and characters are explored in a series of oil paintings and etchings which first featured in Elise's solo exhibition of May 2010, at No Vacancy Gallery in the heart of Melbourne.
